David Weinberger, author of the recently published Everything Is Miscellaneous, is a Fellow at Harvard's Berkman Institute for Internet & Society and speaks around the world on the effects of the Web. He has been a philosophy professor, marketing consultant, political advisor, and dot.com entrepreneur. In 2000 he co-authored the national best-seller The Cluetrain Manifesto. In 2002 he wrote Small Pieces Loosely Joined – A Unified Theory of the Web about the Web's effect on our most fundamental ideas. Shortly after it was published, he wrote a kids' version, which he posted on the Web for free, addressing the question "What is the Web for?"
